Polyurethane Zinc Phosphate Based Intumescent Fire-Retardant Primer

It is a single-component, solvent-based anti-corrosion steel primer formulated with alkyd resin and zinc phosphate pigment. It acts as a bridge between the steel surface and the intumescent main coat; it secures the adhesion strength of the system, its corrosion resistance, and the bonding of the expanding foam to the surface in the event of a fire. The zinc phosphate pigment acts as an active corrosion inhibitor, preventing the rusting of steel in salty air, industrial atmospheres, and humid environments. Thanks to its transparent structure, the profile of the steel surface and welding details remain visible, allowing any application errors to be detected immediately. It is an approved primer for all FIREX I-S100 and I-SS200 systems.
