Daumer develops construction chemicals and the raw materials from which they are made.
A laboratory can prove that a product meets a standard. Only a site can prove that it works. Certificates and test data are where a product begins, not where it is judged. The verdict comes from the roof, the tank and the ground under a building, from the people who mix it, spread it, and come back a year later to find out whether it held.
Daumer has been sold in 45 countries since 2018. Every one of those markets was a decision made by someone on site.
Our laboratory and our plant are organised around that judgement, and our teams stay on the job until it is delivered.
Turhan Holding entered the construction chemicals business in 2005, selling and distributing in Europe and the Caucasus. Manufacturing followed, in Turkey. In 2016 the formulation work began that would become Daumer, and in 2018 the first Daumer products left the plant. They went to buyers who had no reason to trust the name on the bag.
That is a demanding place to begin, and it set the standard. A tile adhesive arriving in Rotterdam or Toulon competes with ten brands the buyer already knows, and its documentation is read before the bag is opened. The range grew under that pressure: twelve product families, and the acrylic dispersions that the liquid ones are built on.
Ten years have passed since the first formulation work, and eight since the first shipment. Daumer is sold in 45 countries. In 2026, for the first time, it is sold in the country where it is made.

In construction chemicals, a manufacturer’s obligation is normally discharged once the product conforms to its declared performance. The batch is released, the data sheet is issued, and what happens after the bag is opened belongs to the applicator.
Daumer works to a different boundary. We supply chemistry as a system: the primer, the layer it carries and the finish that protects it are developed together, tested together and specified together. And our people stay on the job until it is delivered, through the detail nobody drew, the weather nobody planned for and the question that comes up where the drawing stops.
Everything else follows from those two commitments. What we develop, what we decline to sell as a single product, and where our technical teams are on a Tuesday morning.
This is what we call the chemistry of performance.

In our industry, sustainability is largely a question of how long something lasts. A layer that survives twenty years instead of ten halves the material poured over it, the transport behind it and the work of removing it. That is where Daumer puts its effort first, and alongside it we are measuring our own emissions and will publish that work on this site as it progresses. The generations before us left buildings that are still standing. We owe the next one the same, and that account is settled later, by what is still standing then.”
“Daumer is not a catalogue of products. It is a way of working. We write our own formulas, we produce the raw materials behind them, and we stay on the job until it is delivered. The people on site did not come to know us through our words. They came to know us through the product, by trying it and judging it for themselves. That is the slower way to become known, and in this business it is the only one that holds.
It also means we do not sell a single product where the job needs a system. A primer that suits one surface but not the layer above it does not fail loudly. It fails quietly, months later, and the person who gets the blame is usually the applicator who did nothing wrong. I would rather we lost the order than let that happen, and our technical teams know it.
Our aim is to develop construction solutions globally and to deliver them with partners who live in the market they serve. A system that works in Rotterdam and a system that works in Tbilisi are not the same system. The climate is different, the substrates are different, the regulations are different, and so are the habits of the trade. None of that is designed from a distance. So we look for partners who know their own market and want to build something lasting in it, and we intend to keep widening that circle.
Ten years ago we had twenty products. Today there are more than a hundred and fifty. That was not a plan drawn on a wall. Almost every one of them began as a question from a site: a surface that would not hold, a winter that ran too long, a detail the drawings never covered. We carried those questions back to the laboratory, and what came out of it had to earn its place before it was printed in a catalogue.
2025 was our preparation year for Turkey. Preparation is a modest word for a great deal of work: documentation, certification, the dealer network, and training for the teams who will apply the products. In 2026 they reach the market of the country where they have been made from the beginning. Among the sectors we supply here is the defence industry, where every specification is examined line by line. Serving my own country with technical products is a particular source of pride for me.
In the near future you will see us more active in Turkey, in the Mediterranean and in the Balkans. New markets, new partners, and the same obligation in each of them: to be there when the work is difficult, not only when the order is placed. We are here to walk that road beside you.”

To develop construction chemicals and the raw materials behind them, to deliver them as systems that have been tested together rather than as single products, and to stay on the job until it is delivered.
Daumer works at two points on the same chain. We supply raw materials to other manufacturers, and we formulate our own products from the same materials. The plant produces over 150,000 tonnes a year.

We produce acrylic and styrene acrylic dispersions at our own plant, in grades that run from hard film to fully flexible: binders for interior, exterior and wood paints, for primers and textured coatings, and low-Tg binders for elastomeric membranes, roof coatings and two-component cementitious systems. Alongside them we hold cellulose ethers, HPMC and HEC, and redispersible polymer powders at trading volume, the additives that govern water retention, open time, workability and flexibility in dry-mix products.
Our customers are dry-mix mortar producers, tile adhesive and render manufacturers, waterproofing companies, and paint and coating formulators who write their own formulations. Material ships in drums, IBCs and bulk. Our chemists match a grade to the formulation rather than send a catalogue.
The same grades go into Daumer products. Formulation and quality control are carried out at our Turkish sites: a formula is written in-house, tried in production, and every batch is released against its specification before it ships. Nothing leaves on the strength of the batch before it.
Systems are developed the same way as products. A primer is tested with the coating it will carry and the surface it will meet, and when one layer changes, the layers around it are tested again. What we publish as a system is a build-up that has been run together, not a list of products that happen to be compatible.
The field teams who follow the products are part of the same chain. A question raised on a site in February becomes a laboratory question in March. That loop is why the range has grown from twenty products to more than a hundred and fifty in ten years.

Daumer works from offices in Europe, the Caucasus and Türkiye, and produces in Türkiye. R&D, production and quality control are carried out at our two Turkish sites; the regional offices are there to serve their own markets. Where we do not have an office, we have a partner who does the same work.
